With the launch of Multiplexes i.e. multiple screens at the same place showing different films with increased number of shows, brought the evolution in film screening and everything changed since then.
Single screen cinema halls started to fade away, few closed, few are under re-structuring but few made their way in the jungle of multiplexes and are shining in the golden pages of Jaipur.

Raj Mandir Cinema
Raj Mandir which is also famously known as Pride of Asia is known for its form of built which is wholly framed using great Indian Vastu arts. Raj Mandir has witnessed the grand success of many old classics, still today there are movies showcased which lightens the love for old hits of Bollywood. One can find the name of Raj Mandir Cinema in the map of Asia which is one of the reason that this hall is still in the visiting list of foreign tourists. Talking about its architect, Raj Cinema looks so beautiful and stunning credit goes to the work done on each and every minor to minor part of the hall outside and interior.
Ram Prakash Cinema
This is the oldest and the first among cinema halls in Jaipur originally built as a theatre where plays around the India were played. Built in 1879 by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II, the cinema hall is a noted piece of Indian architecture but is now closed down by the administration due to its poor maintenance
Man Prakash Cinema
There used to be a famous Cinema Hall on the way to Ajmer Gate which is now closed, destructed and on its place is built a mall named as GTC. Sad that the generations to come would never be able to see or know that.
Moti Mahal Cinema
Moti Mahal is also one of the oldest Cinema halls in Jaipur and is known for its distinctive building architecture but it is no longer working which seems to be under construction. Hope that it is not being re-contructed into something else.
Prem Prakash Cinema
Golcha has fought hard for making it stand among the competition by converting itself from single screen to multiple screen. Also it was the first Cinema hall in whole Rajasthan to have shown film on 70mm screen, that is huge. The no miss here is their samosa wich they called as Prem Prakash Samosa.
Polo Victory Cinema
Next to the list is the Pride of the India which India has earned after winning the World Cup in Polo in 1933. The name is Polo Victory Cinema which reminds us of the great win over world. The hall was inaugurated by the Governor of Independent India, General Lord Mountbatten. Polo Victory is still known for its unique built and is now converted in hotel, also visitors can start their visit of Jaipur from this place as this is nearest to both Railways station and Bus Stand.
Lakshmi Mandir
Once a very famous cinema hall at Tonk Phatak, losing its spark due to the multiplexes is now getting renovated to bring itself into the business. The built of the Cinema hall is wonderful and after its renovation it may make it place in the list of movie goers.
Samrat Cinema
Samrat is one of the oldest Cinema Halls in the pink city which was once the first choice for movie goers from the nearby but is now closed indefinitely due to some legal conflicts. It was also known for its unique and uncommon architecture.
Mayur Cinema
Located in Nehru Bazaar, Mayur Cinema was one major attraction for movie goers but now it has been re-constructed and converted into a shopping mall and has become a major business center in the https://www.hummustir.com market.
Sangam Cinema
Sangam Cinema hall at Dada Bari road is now permanently closed with no further expectations of re-opening for movie screenings.
Paras Cinema
Paras is a small cinema hall coloured pink and situated at Zorawar Singh Gate is still wotking and is showing movies. This single screen has somehow managed to remain in business in the competition with the multiplexes.
Minerva Cinema
Once known as Ganga Talkies which was later changed into Minerva is named after a Roman goddess. The cinema hall is now permanently closed and is used for parking now for the nearby market.
Ankur Cinema
Ankur cinema is situated near Ghat Gate and is still working but they hardly show Bollywood movies. The place is not maintained properly which is the reason that no bollywood movies are shown here and thus it has lost its fate.
Kohinoor Cineplex
Kohinoor Cineplex is amongst the first few cinemas that opened in Sanganer. The cinema hall is still working after some recent renovation and is still a favorite place for people residing in nearby.
Gem Cinema
Gen Cinema was a gem of a place for cinema lovers, it was the first choice when it comes to Hollwood movies since they have a morning show at 10 specially for Hollywood films. But amidst the competition, Gem Cinema failed to continue and is now closed permanently but is now used as a parking place for the nearby markets.
Saroj Cinema
Saroj cinema is situated near Chandpol Gate, is still working but they hardly show Bollywood movies and its now permanently closed with no further expectations of re-opening for movie screenings.
