A Picnic at Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary

Travel to Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary

Starting of holidays, and everyone in the family come up with their own demands. Parents want to go to pilgrimage, wife wants to go to her parents’ house, kids want to do something fun, and nobody asks me what I want. So this holiday was no different. But we were saved from all the decision making by an invitation to Lucknow by my uncle’s family. It was my uncle and aunt’s 35th marriage anniversary, and they had invited the whole family with relatives for the celebration. We had never taken the kids to Lucknow, so even they were excited. Parents were also happy to meet all our relatives. So, we booked our train tickets and headed to Lucknow.

We had planned to stay in Lucknow for three more days after the function. Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh and famous for its monuments. Bara Imambara, Chota Imambara, Rumi Darwaza, The residency, Pizza Cave, Janeshwar Mishra Park, Sikandar Bagh, and Gautam Buddha Park are some of its prominent attractions.

Since my uncle owned only one car, it was not free for us to use, hence we decided to book a top-rated AC cab in Lucknow to see the tourist places and roam around. We searched online, and Savaari car rental was the top search result with good reviews. We just had to send a message, and their executive called us, enquired about our requirements and suggested the package accordingly. We just needed to give them the time and address for pickup.

Overview and Daily Activities

My cousin advised me to always book with a reliable and safe car rental in Lucknow. Since, we booked one with Savaari, the very next day, a Savaari cab arrived early in the morning as planned. We were pleasantly surprised by the neat and clean car. The driver was extremely courteous and reconfirmed with us what our plan was and what places we planned to visit. We started off our Lucknow darshan and visited all the places we had planned. The driver was also very helpful in recommending various eateries to us, so we didn’t miss out on the famous Lucknow food. We enjoyed a lot as we needn’t worry about how to travel from place to place. Taking a reliable cab with an experienced driver proved very helpful.

My kids wanted to visit the Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary for a picnic. Again, the driver was at our doorstep at the designated time. We proceeded towards the Kanpur-Lucknow road. The early morning Lucknow roads were empty, and it was refreshing to see. It took hardly an hour for us to reach the Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary in Unnao district. The kids were happy to see a sanctuary. We took the tickets and went in.

The Nawabganj Bird sanctuary is now known as Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Azad Bird Sanctuary. It is famous for bird watchers and is home to numerous birds like spoonbill duck, whistling teal, sarus crane, white pigeon, vulture, Indian roller bird, etc. The sanctuary is full of lush green vegetation. A lot of migratory birds also take shelter here. Some of the migratory birds which come here are the Siberian crane, pink flamingo and red-breasted partridge. A small section in the sanctuary is a conservation of the spotted deer. Visitors Totobet SGP can watch the herds of deer and some other animals too here. We roamed around and saw the various birds and animals there. Kids were super excited to see so many birds and were even happy by spotting the monkeys. A lot of people were there to see the birds or just to enjoy a picnic in the sanctuary. After we had seen the whole sanctuary, we spread our picnic blanket and relaxed near the lake. It was great to lie down and relax in a soothing environment. Kids were busy with their games and food. Soon, we all had food and packed our stuff to head back towards Lucknow in the evening.
